Hair Removal

This is a non-invasive and highly effective treatment for permanently reducing or removing unwanted hair on a person’s body or face. The most common areas for laser hair removal in women are the upper lip, the bikini line, the legs, the arms, and the underarms. Men often have laser hair removal in the chest and back areas.

Laser hair removal lasts longer than any other method or treatment option because it provides a permanent hair reduction. Shaving typically lasts for only days, and hair removal creams rarely last longer than one week. While waxing can last for as long as a month, it is often intensely painful for the patient, while laser hair removal involves only very minimal discomfort.

Laser Hair Removal Q & A...

What does it feel like?

With the new high-tech Cynosure laser the treatment is performed extremely fast and at an effective 755 wavelength.

The laser incorporates a cooling system that allows for maximum patient comfort during hair removal. This laser is so efficient that patients feel only moderately warm skin and a mild sting, similar to the feel of a rubber band snapping.

When will results show?

That is dependent on the size of the area to be treated, the amount of hair growth, and the rate of hair regrowth.

How long does the treatment last?

To make sure that hair is targeted in all its different growth cycles, most patients need anywhere from two to six treatment sessions. Because the laser works on only actively growing hair, the treatment sessions are spaced at least several weeks apart to allow the new hair to grow in.
